Buttons, Lace and Ribbon

At the moment I am knee deep in all sorts of wedding related craft activities. Button bouquets, handmade buttonholes, various hand-sewn items and plenty more ideas at the ready. Wedding planning is an exciting time but also brings plenty of stressful moments with it! I'm enjoying making all the little bits that will make out day special and enjoy the peaceful calm I find by indulging some time to complete them.

Can't wait to go hunting for seasonal flowers in September to see the variety of meadow flowers that will adorn my mason jars :-)

Busy!

Been so manically busy of late I kinda forgot about this!

Wedding plans, new training, BSL level 2 underway, new websites and business project. It's all stations go!
My eldest has turned 17 and is turning my brain-teenagers are hard work!

I've almost finished my button bouquet and look forward to posting it on here-prototypes of the guests buttonholes are well underway and also form part of the new project I'm doing with a friend.
Hoping to have website up and running shortly.

BSL level 2 is going great-very nervous about video clips I have to produce every week to document my progress.

Work is great-successful week and looking forward to the Jubilee week off with the kids-makes a change from them being with childminder.

Enjoy the sunshine!

Marriage

Eek! We are getting married! Venue booked, registrar booked! I must mad! After 20 years of adamant claims I will never marry (unless a rich old man swept me off my feet) I'm finally taking the plunge!

Hey Green in Marsden is around 8 miles from home and is a gorgeous country house full of quirky features and antiques. My mum was excited when she visited and I hope the in laws approve this weekend too!

Eek!

Goodbye 2011....Hello 2012

Where do I start.....illness, bugs, colds, food, presents, family.

We had a great Christmas Eve visiting family and friends, a fab Christmas with Ste off work now he's changed jobs.

With sickness bug doing its rounds in 24 hour bouts I decided to cut out animal protein and dairy. And to my surprise, at the start of this process I found I had lost 4kg over Christmas week despite devouring all the usual goodies and treats.

So I kick started with cutting the small amount of dairy I was still eating, and any meat products, silly I know.....to start this process I would have been better eliminating one thing at a time. Four days in, I felt great, more energy, regular loo visits instead of 4 day gaps, then I inadvertently ate some biscuits, full of butter! Belly ache commenced and stayed for 2 days :-(

It's now the 2nd weekend of January and I have started over. Slowly reintroducing tiny amounts which I will then eliminate slowly!!!

On a happier note, 2012 has some fun in store :-)

Holidays

Christmas!! My favourite holiday.

Finished for work by 23rd December, 5pm. Let the chaos commence! I always seem to do too many things at once when a busy time arrives. I am currently trying to write my piece for Association of Breastfeeding Mothers in order to complete training with them to become a Breastfeeding Counsellor.
Also reestablished a connection with natural immunity and looking more in depth into vaccinations and the queries that are arising of late. Back 17 years ago, research was very different, using books and associates in the medical profession to get hold of scientific reports and data. Then more recently 6 years ago using the Internet to trawl through the mountains of evidence for and against Big Pharma.

Maybe in the New Year I will find time to do things for me, enjoy research again and keep on top of personal goals and deadlines :-)
